Kind words, from Grant son of Morrie.

Hi Tanya, I just want to say g'day as I received a copy of your book, "Breed of their Own" in the mail today, from my lovely cousin Bev Waters of Leeton. My father, Morrie Grant is of course in there with your fine collection of great old battlers. I must say that I love your beautiful photography capturing these extraordinary characters and also the words of wisdom you recorded. It was a quite emotional thing to see that tough old bastard Morrie captured so vividly. You may not be aware that he died just over a year ago, six months shy of 100. Being a tough old bastard myself now I suppose (well, past 50) I'm rarely affected by such things, but they are powerful images. Morrie was buried, as per his request, among his beloved birds and trees on a hill in the rain forest north of Lismore on my brothers farm. It is a beautiful place for an extraordinary, tough old warrior to rest. His headstone is just that; a massive mossy stone taking from the forest, and there are other stones to sit on and contemplate while looking down the valley. It is still hard to believe that such a life can end. thanks again Kind Regards Chris
