Winifred Campbell considers herself a keen observer, "Well, I like people! There is so much happening if you look around."

Winifred lived an interesting life full of different experiences; her fiancè was killed in a flying accident at age twenty four just three weeks before they were to be married, changing her fate. She married Keith Campbell instead and they went on to have four children, all in Broken Hill, living in the outback for two years working on the dingo proof fence.

When asked what she'd change if she was to have life over, Winifred replied "...I'd be more aggressive, stand up for myself more! I never used to."
